THE BIGGER PICTURE ABOUT
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS GONE MAD
A look at what one might call the bigger picture - the politically correct "foam at the mouth" response to a whole range of issues, from concern about Islam, to non-acceptance of mainstream climate change "facts", to yoga classes, black crime, national pride. Most of us know that we can expect a permanent culturally-approved case of the terrible twos - only way more dangerous. Yelling, screaming, angry name-calling sprinkled with accusations of cultural insensitivity and cultural appropriation.
You culturally insensitive racist bigot. You extremist right wing Islamophobe. You micro aggressor. You fascist climate change denier.
Especially, cries of racism even when whatever it is has nothing to do with race. The message: We don't listen, don't think, and don't allow others to hear, if at all possible.
What is going on? Who benefits from all this? And what do we do? Where do we put our energy?
A mini-assessment about what's going on. It's the brainwrecked on the rampage - backed and abetted by the mainstream Western education system and media, both largely controlled by politically correct brain wreckers - the majority brainwrecked themselves, a minority knowingly damaging brains.
Who benefits? Any force that is against personal autonomy, human rights, freedom of thought and speech.
What do we do? Do we work at raising awareness about one issue or another? This is vital. Over the past decade we've made huge inroads, for instance, re awareness of the dangers inherent in Islamic ideology. My sense: we also need to be aware of and pay attention to the larger picture. But I don't have an answer to the question, re what we do. It isn't the case of the small boy seeing a small leak in the dyke, and staying there, with his finger in the hole, until some helpful grownup comes along.
A few cases.
An actual incident. A yoga class at the University of Ottawa was recently cancelled - cultural appropriation, was the charge. You can hear the details from Janice Fiamengo - who also names the book she sees as seminal to what's happening:
An actual response to the shooting of a young black man with a 6-year record of criminal charges when he resisted arrest upon being caught robbing once more. "Now did he deserve to get shot like that? Shot like a dog! No, he did not deserve that."
An actual response by the same person to the shooting of a white police officer, while tanking up his car, by a black man. "If you enlist in the army, what else can you expect."
BLACKS BEAT WHITE HOMELESS VET TO DEATH – WHERE’S THE PROTESTS?
Where are the protests? There aren't any, as we all know. The story: 3 men and 3 women come out of a van - all 6 people are black. One homeless vet - white. The man is beaten senseless. The outcome: death - his death. What's to protest?
Another example, from Australia. On November 23, the Victorian State Premier declared: "All people expressing national pride are 'NOTHING BUT BIGOTS.'"
Then one sees a clip of ordinary-looking people proud of Australia, being screamed at by the usual crowd, the trendy politically correct, carrying signs identifying them as Communists, pro-Islamics, anarchists. There's no space for discussion, exploration of facts, reasoning, logic. As is very often the case, the politically incorrect need police protection.
One sign, from one of the politically correct, to the people proud of Australia: 'Racists go home.' The PC seem unaware that Australia is home to those proud of Australia.
I'm reminded of Pavlov's dogs, in this case trained to rage whenever something is designated 'racist.'
Where is the home of the politically correct, I wonder - where do they belong, these screaming, ranting, irrational people?
And what are the forces that have created such people, and that allow them to flourish?
I think again of the book mentioned as seminal by Janice Fiamengo. (Watch her videos, by the way, for a weekly dose of political correctness unmasked.) While Janice names the book, she offers no explanation as to why it wasn't just thrown out as anti-learning, anti-thinking, even as more dangerous than overtly anti-freedom ideologies like fascism, Communism, Islam - because, following the prescription in the book, people are indoctrinated to believe that they're acting for "true freedom" when they're actually doing their best to destroy freedom of expression and are examples of brain wreck, the intrained incapacity to think:
More on the bigger picture. What a selective picture, with a pre-selected narrative.
The San Bernardino Islamic terrorist massacre had just happened. The names of the jihadis had just been revealed. And already I had in my inbox a petition: for gun control - as if jihadis all had legally obtained weapons. And that narrative continued, of the need for gun control, in the face of Islamic terrorism.
The "we need gun control" narrative also means that massacres
that don't fit the narrative we've supposed to swallow don't get widespread coverage. An alternate news source, CanadaFreePress.com reminds me: Ignored Carnage in Louisiana Park Proves Inequality of Mass Shootings!
One can dig up information: 17 people shot. 300 people present. 32-year-old Joseph "Moe" Allen arrested and charged with 17 counts of attempted first-degree murder. The youngest victim was 10, and the majority were under 21. Quite some story!
Why so little coverage? CanadaFreePress:
Allen is a black thug with a criminal record a mile long, so his violent acts don’t fit into the current narrative that white conservative Christians are the largest threat to our nation. Plus, being a convicted felon, he shouldn't have even had a gun to begin with. The law forbidding him from owning one didn't work, and he was also a part of the catch and release program for violent thugs.
Who benefits from the barriers against information, against thinking? Are those screaming "You right-wing bigoted Islamophobic racist climate change denier" going to benefit?
A quick answer: no. The left wing wouldn't have any long term benefit from being pro-Islam. Islam would not exempt them from Sharia, would not allow, say, gay rights for left wing gays. As for what is most likely "the climate disaster scam", the left doesn't benefit from the massive waste of resources. So who benefits? I don't have the answers. I do know that, without full knowledge, we still need to act.
What do we do? A lot of my own effort has been around Islam.
I consider this vital. I also consider it crucial to identify brain wreck wherever we see it, and to act in whatever way we can on whatever issues pull us. I'm also very much for teaching thinking - education not indoctrination - and for exposing the "soft indoctrination" in the education system throughout the West - where people, starting in early childhood, don't recognize they are being brain-washed, including that they are brainwashed into raging against those who bring up facts.
As always, all the best to all of us who care and dare - to life and to love, and to the triumph of the truth and good thinking,
