I am Charlie
I spent a good part of the day crying - because so many people showed they cared.
Every time I looked at a photo of all those people gathered together, holding signs - JE SUIS CHARLIE, I AM CHARLIE - the tears would start again.
This is what we long for, those of us concerned about freedom of speech and freedom in general, those of us against Sharia and the massive anti-freedom of Islam.
In France, over 100,000 attended rallies and held up signs. JE SUIS CHARLIE, I AM CHARLIE.
Yes, if we dare to speak out, we are Charlie. If we speak together, that changes everything. Those who gathered could feel the power of standing together, and the need to speak out together.
For the sake of the 12 at Charlie Hebdo, massacred because they spoke out. For the sake of all we stand for.
All the best to all of us who care and dare,
Elsa

PS. An action you could take to help ensure Charlie Hebdo continues, especially if you speak French: CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE. The next issue, it says, will come out next Wednesday - the journal of survivors. All money goes to the family members of those murdered by the Islamic terrorists.
PPS. The next run of Charlie Hebdo: instead of the usual 60,000, there will be 1,000,000. And as someone wrote me: may they need to print ten times that!
PPPS. Something else good to subscribe to, by the way: The Freedom Community

A day of tears for me,
because so many showed they cared.
About Charlie Hebdo,
about freedom of speech,
about life and freedom.
